What is Peace Education?

Peace Education is a process to develop and nurture a peace culture at Notre Dame that spins off into the home. 

It involves:

Listening not just talking

Respecting not disrespecting

Including not excluding

Uniting not dividing  

Recognizing the spiritual in all creation  

Living by the virtues

At Notre Dame, we have integrated Peace Education Curriculum across all grade levels to teach our students important peace making and life skills such as: 

Mediation

Anger Management

Conflict Resolution

Virtues

Life Skills

Affirmation - Rewards

Confrontation - Consequences

Peace Education is much more than a "class" at Notre Dame.

It is an integral part of fulfilling our mission and everything we do as we

" Walk , Talk , and Live in the Peace of Christ ".
