7th Grade Reading/Language Arts
For the next couple of weeks, we are focusing on reading- why we read, why reading is important, how we choose what we want to read, and how we set goals for ourselves as readers. We're exploring new books and reminding ourselves of why we love books that we have read in the past. Through activities like The Last 10 Books I Read and Book Speed Dating, we are getting excited about reading and preparing for a year full of books!

8th Grade Reading/Language Arts

Through activities like Book Speed Dating, we are getting excited about reading and preparing for another year full of books! We will also review the 7 strategies that readers use before diving into our short story unit.

7th Grade Religion/Peace

We just finished several activities related to the virtues. We created affirmations to help us think about the virtues that we value the most, and we wrote paragraphs and shared them with each other, explaining why we value those virtues. We have especially been focusing on the virtue of the month, responsibility, as we start another school year.
